Dallas fire fighters are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our city’s families, residents, businesses, and visitors. Our members’ commitment to protect life and property within our city and beyond helps ensure Dallas’s well-being and economic future.
The work our members put in not only takes place while on duty, but in countless ways across our community even when we are not in the firehouses. We work tirelessly giving back to our city and residents by lending our time and efforts to charitable organizations and those in need.
Reaching out and assisting our community – whether on duty or off - is what makes our members and this organization great.
For more than 60 years, Dallas Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 58 has had the backs of our city’s fire fighters when they need it the most. Whether standing before our Fire Administration, the City Manager’s Office, the Mayor and City Council, or State and Federal Legislators, our organization is the oldest, largest, and most diverse association representing our fire fighters. We are proud to be the collective voice of Dallas’s bravest when it comes to negotiating improvements in wages, benefits, and workplace and safety conditions.
These improvements not only keep our members safer, but our entire city and everyone who resides, works, and visits here.
The job of a fire fighter is one that never ends. It is inherently stressful and dangerous. Our members are uniquely committed to our citizens, each other, and the proud heritage of the fire service. As President of Dallas Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 58, I am privileged to represent our union fire fighters and this historic organization. We will continue to work tirelessly to maintain and improve the high standards of fire rescue protection our city, its citizens, and its fire firefighters deserve.
