DALLAS FIRE FIGHTERS ASSOCIATION MAKES 2023 CITY COUNCIL ENDORSEMENTS
The Dallas Fire Fighters Association today announced their endorsements for contested seats in the Dallas City Council elections.
The Dallas Fire Fighters Association is Dallas' oldest and largest Fire Fighter Association. It is made up of Professional Fire Fighters of the City of Dallas Fire & Rescue Department.
“We invited candidates for Dallas City Council in each of the 14 Council Districts to come speak with us about how they plan to make our city better,” said Dallas Fire Fighters Association President, Jim McDade. “We hope the work we have done will help voters as they determine who to support this spring. After hearing from the candidates, our political action committee voted unanimously to support candidates in 12 different districts.”
These ten candidates will join prior recommendations to re-elect Mayor Eric Johnson and Councilwoman Cara Mendelsohn.
“While public safety is always a high priority, we are also concerned about many other issues important to voters: lower tax rates, attracting quality businesses and development on both sides of the Trinity River, better streets, and strong neighborhoods,” said Jim McDade, President.
After this detailed research and review, we make the following twelve recommendations to Dallas Voters (other endorsements could follow):
Mayor – Eric Johnson (previously endorsed)
District 1 – Chad West
District 2 – Jesse Moreno
District 4 – Jamie Smith
District 5 – Jaime Resendez
